Job Overview
– Manager, Commission Programs - A fast-growing, national enterprise is seeking a Commission Program Manager to lead and optimize sales compensation programs across diverse sales teams and channels. This strategic and analytical role will help shape performance-driven commission structures while collaborating across business units and technology teams to ensure operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities: Manage end-to-end commission programs and lead new plan development tied to sales goals and rep performance. Act as a subject matter expert for compensation within specialized sales divisions. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership to ensure alignment with company strategy. Build and maintain sophisticated reporting tools, KPI dashboards, and database models (SQL, Excel, CRM). Lead or support compensation steering committees to align behaviors with strategic objectives. Partner with IT and external vendors to automate, scale, and improve commission processing systems. Coach junior team members and support process improvements across departments. Oversee commission reporting, data integrity, and quarterly goal-setting initiatives.
Ideal Candidate: 6–8 years of experience in commission plan management, compensation strategy, or related fields. Strong background in finance, data analytics, or business operations. Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and CRM systems; database or data cube experience is a plus. Exceptional communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Comfortable balancing independent work with high-level stakeholder engagement.
