JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Supervisor oversees and directs the maintenance and repair of facilities, equipment and grounds. This role involves planning, scheduling and supervising the work of maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently and according to established standards. The supervisor is also responsible for safety, quality, labor management, housekeeping, and promoting core values. Ensures that all employees are following the Company’s safety and health related policies, procedures and standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Comply with Eco Material Technologies Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Responsible for enforcing all Safety policies and procedures and making recommendations for safety improvement.
  • Provide training, guidance, and direction to employees with less experience.
  • Oversee and assist with repairs, diagnosing issues, and ensuring timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Assign work orders, ensuring tasks are completed on time, and providing technical support.
  • Serve as a resource for resolving technical or procedural problems.
  • Ensure all equipment and facilities are in proper working order and coordinating maintenance activities.
  • Identify and escalate complex issues to upper management with recommended solutions. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory.
  • Follow directives regarding operational and quality procedures.
  • Assist with employee scheduling.
  • Report all incidents and/or injuries to supervisor.
  • Organize, attend, and conduct periodic meetings with employees.
  • Occasionally assists with incident reports/disciplinary forms.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
  • Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to interpret and follow policies and procedures and all safety guidelines.
  • Ability to recognize hazards and implement safety measures.
  • Familiarity with various tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance best practices
  • Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders, inventory, and maintenance schedules.
  • Ability to plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Ability to plan and direct the work of others.
  • Ability to perform, analyze and interpret condition monitoring data.
  • Ability to deal effectively with people at all levels.
  • Knowledge of processes involved in the operation of the facility.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal and listening skills.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, prioritizing, and time management skills.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

The employee should have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years' experience in a relevant field

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee should possess the ability to:

  • Prolong standing or in stationary position.
  • Complete repetitive movements such as typing.
  • Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable.
  • Complete repetitive movements
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection)
  • Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to move or traverse about the facilities.
  • Must be able to ascend/descend stairs or ladders.
  • Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions.
