Job Details: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Logistics Supervisor to join our team. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to enhance their leadership and operational skills in a fast-paced and challenging environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing our logistics operations to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of goods and services. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in Transportation, Shipping, and Receiving.

Responsibilities: 1. Oversee and manage the day-to-day logistics operations, including transportation, shipping, and receiving. 2. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity. 3. Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations ensuring compliance with company and industry standards. 4. Supervise and guide logistics staff, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement. 5. Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness in all operations. 6. Liaise with vendors, retailers, and customers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods. 7. Implement and oversee security procedures to safeguard the goods and maintain inventory accuracy. 8. Resolve any arising problems or complaints related to logistics. 9. Analyze data to assess performance, discover logistical problems and devise plans for improvements. 10. Ensure that all logistics operations adhere to laws, regulations and ISO requirements.

Qualifications: 1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within logistics, specifically in transportation, shipping, and receiving. 2. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field. Master's degree will be an added advantage. 3. Proven experience in logistics management, including a thorough understanding of supply chain management. 4. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team. 5. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions quickly. 6. Proficiency in logistics software and good knowledge of IT systems in supply chain management. 7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with vendors and clients. 8. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. 9. Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations. 10. Strong understanding of customer service and experience in managing relationships with key clients. 11. Ability to analyze data and create reports on logistics performance. 12. Knowledge of laws, regulations, and ISO requirements in logistics.
