About The Position
A busy trauma hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage. The facilities are located in Walnut Creek and Concord, California. This opportunity does not involve OB or Cardiac cases, and providers need to be comfortable working 10, 12, 14, or 16-hour shifts, with 10- and 12-hour shifts being the most common. Providers will be proctored, and the facility prefers full weeks of coverage. There is likely no call, though there may occasionally be a weekend call. Shifts are either 12-hour day or 12-hour night in-house (no 24-hour shifts). The facility uses Epic EMR and is a 100% hands-on, all-physician practice. There are 35 full-time anesthesiologists and 10 part-time anesthesiologists, with no full-time CRNAs. Case types include trauma, neuro, regional, and ortho at a 700-bed hospital.
