We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our dynamic legal team as a Litigation Legal Assistant. This is a permanent, full-time role, offering a fantastic opportunity to utilize and expand your legal knowledge and skills. Responsibilities:
As a Litigation Legal Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:
Preparing, revising, and formatting legal documents, including various filings and pleadings. Managing calendars, scheduling meetings, court dates, and deadlines. Coordinating travel arrangements, including booking flights, accommodations, and transportation. Transcribing legal documents, correspondences, and reports. Assisting in the preparation of case summaries, materials for court proceedings, and legal briefs. Conducting legal research and gathering relevant information to support case preparation. Ensuring all legal documents are processed in a timely manner and meet court requirements. Maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant in complex litigation. Proficiency in various filings, pleadings, calendaring, transcription, and travel arrangements. A strong understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, and legal document formatting. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research software. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A paralegal certificate or equivalent legal education is preferred but not required.
