Role Overview: The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking meals to meet Kommissary's high-quality standards in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment. This role requires strong technical skills, teamwork, and the ability to maintain consistency under pressure. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional food.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook food using advanced techniques such as grilling, roasting, and pan-frying. Execute precise knife skills for consistent food preparation. Ensure food preparation and storage meet NY Department of Health safety standards. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health and safety protocols. Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure timely and high-quality meal production. Maintain focus and attention to detail, even under pressure. Demonstrate a sense of urgency and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to support smooth operations. Stay positive, calm, and solutions-oriented during high-pressure situations. Work overtime when required to meet production deadlines. Qualifications: Proven experience as a line cook in a high-volume kitchen environment. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Excellent knife skills and attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and independently when needed. Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain composure under pressure. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Work standing or walking for extended periods.
