Major Responsibilities: Conduct virtual individual consultations to assess the psychological and social needs of the students.
Develop individualized strategies and interventions tailored to the unique challenges faced by visually impaired students.
Collaborate with families and educational staff to create a supportive learning environment.
Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary to ensure effectiveness.
Guide on coping strategies, social skills, and emotional support.
Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, progress, and communications with families.
Qualifications: Must possess a School Social Work certification in Massachusetts .
Prior experience working with students with disabilities, particularly those who are visually impaired, is preferred.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students and families.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively within the designated hours.
Technology Skills: Proficiency in virtual communication platforms for conducting consultations.
Familiarity with student information systems and documentation tools.
Physical Requirements: Ability to engage in virtual consultations from a home or office setting.
Must have reliable internet access for video conferencing.
