JOB SUMMARY: A clinically competent licensed practical nurse that delivers nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed to practice in the state of Oklahoma. Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Current BLS card or completion of course within 30 days of hire. ACLS with 1 year of employment. Recommended PALS within one year of employment. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections. Adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to prepare reports and read written materials. Must have strength and stamina for prolonged walking, standing, and dealing with stressful situations. Able to frequently lift at least 60 lbs., reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel. Possesses fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to give care, i.e., insert catheters, administer medications, and manage instruments. Able to work in a latex-burdened environment.
