OurNurses are accountable for the following: Responsibilities Participatesin pre-admissions assessments for potential residents Understandsand implements the Fire Safety and Disaster Preparedness Plan and evacuationprocedures of the community during drills and emergencies Performsadmission and periodic reviews on residents for functional and mentalabilities Reviews/revisesassessments and care plans at admission, periodically per regulation, and atchange in resident physical or psychosocial condition Assistsresidents in scheduling medical, dental and laboratory appointments Assistsphysician with resident examination as needed Reviews andtranscribes physician's orders Administersand documents medications in accordance to the five rights: right medication,right route, right resident, right time, and right dose Providesmedical treatments as ordered by physician Monitorsresident restorative nursing programs Supervisesand monitors medications for residents who self-administer Observesresidents and reports condition changes to physicians, health care proxies, andsupervisors Supports andmaintains harmonious relations and communicates with family, visitors and allmembers of the Health Team Understandsthe resident's Advance Directives and follows his/her wishes Assistsresident with meeting their nutritional/hydration needs and documents on theNursing record appropriately Monitorsmeal-time and nourishments, assists with trays, and helps feed residents Maintains asafe, clean, orderly, homelike environment for residents Answersresidents call light promptly Responsiblefor the planning, implementation and evaluation of Nursing care provided on theshift Maintainsconfidentiality of residents' private health information Responds toemergency calls from Independent Living per community policy Participatesin risk management and quality assurance programs for entire community Qualifications Graduate from anaccredited School of Nursing required Current license inthe state of Michigan required Current CPRcertification required Benefits Referral Program Paid Time Off Medical Dental Vision Life/AD&D 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan Flexible/Dependent Care Spending Accounts Making a Difference Learn how you can make adifference in the lives of our residents and their families by visiting andapplying on our company website.
