We invite you to join our dedicated team as a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant on a Per Diem basis! Responsibilities: Review requests for physical therapy along with physicians' orders. Engage in the development and implementation of resident assessments (MDS) and care plans, including conducting quarterly reviews. Inform residents about the procedures involved in physical therapy and prepare the necessary equipment. Assist in safely transporting residents to and from the physical therapy area. Demonstrate the use of medical appliances (e.g., wheelchairs, crutches, canes, braces, and prosthetic devices) to residents and staff as required. Provide physical therapy within residents' rooms when necessary. Reassure and support residents throughout their therapy treatments. Requirements: Candidates must be fully licensed by the state of Connecticut. Additionally, physical demands include the ability to push, pull, move, or lift a minimum of 40 pounds to a height of at least 3 feet, and to move or carry such weight a distance of 4 feet.
