What To Expect as a Legal Assistant Maintain electronic client files and save documents in multiple formats Draft, proofread, and redline pleadings, correspondence, and contracts Manage calendaring for court deadlines, meetings, and appointments Research, review, and apply court rules in multiple jurisdictions. Coordinate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel Create and manage mediation, arbitration, and trial notebooks Manage process service E-file legal documents in Washington state and federal courts Schedule depositions and conference calls Support paralegals and attorneys to meet critical deadlines Follow up with clients on billing memos

Qualifications For Success Minimum of 4 years' experience in litigation legal support Demonstrated ability to support multiple attorneys across practice areas Strong written and verbal communication skills High level of organization and attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and ProLaw Familiarity with Washington state and federal court procedure
