The Line Cook at Fairfield Village maintains efficient performance in food preparation in the Culinary Department and ensures adequate follow-through of job duties as outlined by the supervisor. Responsible for addressing food complaints immediately if possible and offering an alternative as necessary. Ensures that residents who are on special diets are offered their dietary options as directed by themselves, their physician, or family members. Assist personnel and residents in establishing a home-like atmosphere. All other duties assigned. Experience: Experience in a commercial kitchen is preferable. Experience in Food preparation is desirable, but not required. Needs to have knowledge of food handling operations and the ability to prepare nutritious food and present it in an appetizing manner that meets all the dietary needs of the residents. Certification in CPR and First Aid within the first 30 days. Ability to read, write, communicate, and follow written and oral instructions in the English language. High school diploma or GED.
