Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

Location: Everett, WA 98201 (Washington nursing jobs) Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Setting: Level III Obstetrical Unit – Labor & Delivery / Postpartum Start Date: August 25, 2025 End Date: November 24, 2025 Duration: 13-week contract Shift: 3 or 4 x 12-hour night shifts (18:30 – 07:00) Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week (approved contract) Estimated Weekly Pay: $2110 - $2260 per week Orientation: 3 days (Monday–Wednesday, first week) Charting System: EPIC Parking: Facility-paid

Labor & Delivery RN Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery and Postpartum RN experience (preferably in facilities with 200+ deliveries/month; will consider 100–200 deliveries/month) Active Washington RN license or Compact RN license (pending license accepted) Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS (AWHONN Advanced and NRP preferred) Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records Strong clinical skills in sterile vaginal exams (SVE), fetal monitoring, and high-risk perinatal care Willingness to float to postpartum and similar units as needed References: At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years Ability to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) No local candidates (must reside 50+ miles from facility)

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients in a high-acuity, fast-paced unit (400+ births during peak months) Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications, and assist with both vaginal and cesarean deliveries Perform and interpret fetal monitoring, sterile vaginal exams, and specialized labor & delivery procedures Support newborn assessment, resuscitation, and couplet care Educate and support patients and families throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, CRNAs, surgical techs, and CNAs Float between Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units as required Document patient care accurately using EPIC
