Academy of Art University is seeking a Lab Technician for our School of Industrial Design to work directly with students, faculty, and staff to support the shop environment. This individual should have excellent communication skills and a passion for student success. This position is on-site in San Francisco, CA. Responsibilities: Perform junior-level network administration for Windows and Mac network environment Perform software and hardware installation, troubleshooting and upgrades Assist students with any software/hardware issues that may arise Provide support and assistance to the Department Director Provide support to department for Spring Show and other events as needed. Provide excellent customer service. Provide a cordial and friendly presence to students, faculty and staff. Maintain guidelines set forth by the Academy of Art University Maintain a clean, functional and productive learning environment Protect equipment from theft or vandalism Perform other duties as assigned Compensation: $22.00/hour Benefits: Academy of Art University offers full-time employees health insurance, 401k options, paid vacation based on years of service (15 days' accrual at start), paid holidays, paid sick leave and a commuter benefit program.
