Summary/Objective:
We are in search of a Junior Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team. We are one of the largest family-owned food importers in the US servicing all channels of the food industry with products from around the world. The Junior Graphic Designer will be part of Atalanta Corporation's marketing team. Atalanta is an importer of premium, branded foods including specialty cheese, meats, and gourmet food items. Our products are distributed nationally to retailers, restaurants, food service operators, and industrial food processors.
In this role, you will support the sales and marketing team in the design of sales and marketing materials (sell sheets, brochures, customer-specific presentations, etc.). The Junior Graphic Designer will work under the direction of the Marketing Director and will collaborate closely with the other Graphic Designers on the Marketing team. This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects at the same time. The Junior Graphic Designer will interface with Sales, Business Development as well as our suppliers. We are looking for somebody who also has a passion for food. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Effectively create marketing materials including advertising, package design, web and digital content, brochures, sell sheets, materials for trade show exhibits, and promotional materials.
Proactively manage product branding and ensure a consistent corporate image and positioning throughout product lines, promotional materials, and events.
Assume the creative lead and design responsibility for 2-3 brands as assigned by the Marketing Director.
Maintain, communicate, and drive adherence to brand standards.
Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree
1 - 3 years of graphic design experience preferred
Basic knowledge of MS Office and intermediate to expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Good project management skills
Passion for food
Experience in food industry package design is a plus
Culinary and/or specialty food experience a plus
