JOB TITLE: Infant/Toddler Teacher STATUS: Part-Time EMPLOYER: Wheeler Avenue Christian Academy REPORTS TO: Director of Operations RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES: Develop a positive working relationship with co-teacher Assist co-teacher (if applicable) with the supervision of students in all instructional settings Assist co-teacher (if applicable) with behavior management techniques by demonstrating, modeling, and positively reinforcing desired behaviors Assist in tailoring lessons to an individual student's needs Adapt classroom activities, assignments, and/or materials to support and reinforce classroom objectives Monitor students during meals, naps, recess, and transition times throughout the school day, inside and outside of the classroom Classroom restrooms should be checked throughout the day Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws, local board policies, administrative guidelines, childcare licensing policies Required to monitor children on the playground Required to pick up/hold/carry infants and toddlers and their personal items Position includes periods of walking/sitting/standing/bending/kneeling Other duties and responsibilities as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Experience WORK HOURS, OVERTIME, WEEKENDS, ETC: Monday-Friday (Various shifts, but will work as needed) PROPOSED RATE: $15/Hr.
