Position Summary:
Join ABM Building Services as an innovative and experienced Service Operations Manager to lead our HVAC and Lighting teams . We are looking for a captivating leader with a successful track record of managing technical service operations, improving team performance, and delivering exceptional client satisfaction. This hands-on leadership role balances people management, operational excellence, and nurturing customer relationships to enhance service quality and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Development
Supervise and support a talented team of HVAC and Lighting technicians.
Recruit, train, and coach service professionals while fostering a culture aligned with ABM's core values.
Conduct performance evaluations and encourage continuous technical and professional growth.
Instill a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration among team members.
Operational Oversight
Oversee daily operations ensuring top-notch service delivery for HVAC and lighting systems maintenance, repair, and upgrades.
Monitor work orders, service calls, and preventive maintenance schedules for timely resolutions and enhanced client satisfaction.
Guarantee adherence to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
Customer and Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary contact for key clients, keeping them updated, resolving issues, and nurturing long-term relationships.
Conduct onsite visits and join service review meetings to ensure client satisfaction.
Develop service proposals and assist in pricing and estimating service work.
Financial & Resource Management
Manage departmental budgets, oversee cost control, and monitor profitability.
Review and approve technicians' timesheets, service tickets, and invoices.
Efficiently manage tools, equipment, and inventory to minimize waste and improve operations.
Qualifications:
Required:
5+ years of progressive experience in HVAC and/or lighting services.
3+ years in a supervisory or management role, ideally in building services or facilities management.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and lighting systems.
Solid understanding of service contract management and P&L responsibility.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Preferred:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
EPA Universal Certification.
Prior experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).

Working Conditions:
Primarily field-based with some office work required.
