Human Resources Specialist (Payroll and Benefits)

Introduction:
Under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Specialist (Payroll and Benefits) will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in employee payroll and benefits operations while delivering an exceptional employee experience. Incumbent will also support onboarding and offboarding.
Major Duties/Essential Functions:
Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Payroll Administration
Process payroll, ensuring accuracy in wages, tax withholdings, and deductions.
Maintain compliance with payroll regulations, including timely quarterly and year-end reporting
Ensure data integrity by accurately processing employee changes (new hires, terminations, pay adjustments, benefit deductions, etc.).
Partner with Finance to align payroll with financial reporting and reconciliations.
Benefits Administration
Support benefits enrollment, terminations, qualifying life events, and employee inquiries
Conduct benefits reconciliations and vendor billing audits to ensure accuracy
Serve as primary liaison to employees for benefits related questions assisting with claims, enrollments and issue resolution
Support open enrollment processes, ensuring employees have access to resources and information.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on, full cycle payroll processing experience
Minimum of 2 years supporting benefits administration

Demonstrated proficiency with technology, business software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite); HRIS systems: ADP preferred
