Position Title: Payroll/HR Specialist (Proactive Posting)
Location: Portland, OR
Duration: 3 months with potential for extension (varies by opportunity)
Hours/Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (typical schedule)
Compensation: $26-$32 per hour (depending on role and experience)

Typical Responsibilities: Accurately process weekly or biweekly payroll in alignment with company policies and deadlines
Maintain and update employee payroll and HR records
Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities
Provide employee support regarding payroll, benefits, and general HR questions
Collaborate with internal teams on reporting, audits, and documentation
Support general administrative and operational HR tasks as needed
Ideal Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in payroll and/or human resources
Familiarity with payroll systems (ADP, Paychex, etc.) and strong Excel skills
Up-to-date knowledge of payroll laws and HR best practices
High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
Strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills
Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and adapt quickly
Pay Details: $26.00 to $32.00 per hour
