Human Resources Generalist – Non-Profit $35,000k; Permanent Opportunity Monday-Friday; Part-Time (25-30 hours a week) Columbus, Ohio What you'll be doing: Administer and executecore HR functions including compensation, benefits, leaves of absence, disciplinary actions, dispute resolution, investigations, performance management, employee engagement, and training and development Serve as a first pointof contact for employment-related inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, payroll and general practices Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Review, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures to align with legal requirements and best practices Manage the full recruitment cycle, including postingjob openings, screeningapplicants, assisting in interviews, extending offers, coordinating onboarding schedules and training, and processing new hire documentation Coordinate and supportthe annual and semi-annual performance review processes, ensuring timely completion and documentation Assist in the preparation and processing of biweekly payroll, including time and attendance tracking, PTO, holidayand bereavement time,and tax-related documentation for specific local municipalities Act as a liaison betweenemployees and externalbenefits providers, including health, disability, retirement, and other plans Communicate benefits information and updates to staff Maintain accurate and confidential employeerecords, HRIS data,and documentation in accordance with legal standards and organizational practices Facilitate the employeeoffboarding process, including paperwork, departmental notifications, and conducting exit interviews Design and deliverstaff-wide training programsand targeted leadership development initiatives to promote continuous learning and professional growth Perform other HR-related duties as assignedto support the department and organizations' needs Who we're looking for: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field,along with a minimum of 2 years experience as an HR Generalist is required Professional certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP or similar credentials are highly preferred Strong verbal and written communication abilities Outstanding interpersonal skills with a demonstrated capacityto handle sensitiveand confidential matters with discretion Exceptional organizational skillsand attention to detail Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations
