We're looking for a dedicated Human Resources Generalist to support and enhance our HR operations. In this role, you'll be a key partner in supporting our employees through meaningful HR initiatives, supporting talent acquisition, and ensuring a workplace culture where everyone can thrive.
The Human Resources Generalist is an integral part of the Human Resources team, works in a collaborative manner to provide uniform interpretation, administration and application of policies, practices and procedures complying with all local, state, federal laws, regulations, and association polices and guidelines. The HRG builds positive employee relations by proactive communication, prompt issue resolution and equitable treatment.
What you will do in this role:
Demonstrates understanding of and models association culture and core standards.
Assists in administering human resource policies and procedures.
Assists with a variety of HR functional areas which may include payroll, compensation programs, employee relations and investigations, HR policies and compliance, benefits administration, leave of absence processing, and general employment-related questions.
Assists with talent acquisition process and onboarding of new team members.
Collects and organizes HR data related to compensation, benefits, training, and recruiting.
Resolves basic team member concerns with minimal oversight.
Prepares complex reports for team analysis.
Maintains the updates of association/ human resources policies and manuals, to include compensation resources and related guidelines and procedures.
Answers team member questions regarding policies and procedures, escalating questions/ issues to appropriate HR team members when necessary.
Composes and edits internal communication on behalf of the Human Resources function.
Participates in HR or cross-functional projects utilizing effective project management methodology.
Assists with record keeping of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations. Process and organize new-hire paperwork.
Conducts exit interviews and processes separation paperwork including state separation notices.
Other duties as assigned.
What you will need for this role:
Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of combined experience and education in Human Resources or related field is preferred, with experience in: Regulatory compliance with EEO, FMLA, ADAAA, HIPAA, FLSA, unemployment, Worker's Compensation, and other state and federal laws.
Working with HRIS, database, and spreadsheet software in a professional environment where confidentiality was expected.
Managing requisitions, full-cycle recruiting and associated employee life-cycle data entry.
The following items are not required, but are preferred: PHR/SPHR designation
Experience in Oracle software a plus.
Experience in internal investigations
