HR Specialist-Leave of Absence and Worker's Compensation

**Overview**
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Human Resources Specialist to join our Human Resources department. This role is primarily responsible for managing and administrating all aspects of leave of absence and workers' compensation programs within the CORT Events division. In addition, this person will have other Human Resources responsibilities as directed by the CORT Events HR Manager such as employee relations, investigations, and reporting. This role reports to the Senior Manager of HR Administration.
This role will be hybrid with 3 days/ week in-office, and 2 days/week from a home office.
Some minimal travel throughout the US may be required.
Salary range: $60,000 - $70,000 / year.

**Responsibilities**
+ Administer all leave of absence and workers' compensation programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
+ Serve as the primary contact for employees during their leave of absence or workers' compensation claim, providing guidance and support throughout the process.
+ Collaborate with Human Resources, Payroll, and Management teams to ensure smooth transitions for employees going on and returning from leave.
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all leave and workers' compensation cases.
+ Conduct regular audits to ensure proper payment of benefits and adherence to laws and regulations.
+ Provide training and education to employees and managers regarding leave and workers' compensation policies and procedures.
+ Stay current on changes in laws and regulations related to leave of absence and workers' compensation, and update company policies as necessary.
+ Work with the Corporate Safety Department to collaborate on challenging claim issues
+ Support HR Manager in onboarding new hires throughout the division, including initial contact and 90 day check-ins.
+ Drive participation in New Hire Survey and review and share reports and data with management.
+ Support employees with general HR related questions
+ Collaborate with HR Manager to identify programs that would benefit employees
+ Identify any areas of concern in the employee population and work with Manager to address
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
+ A minimum of 2-4 years of experience managing leave of absence and workers' compensation programs preferred.
+ In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations regarding leave of absence and workers' compensation.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
