HR & Legal Recruiting Specialist Palo Alto or San Francisco, CA | Hybrid | Contract-to-Hire

A top-tier, highly respected law firm is seeking a HR & Legal Recruiting Specialist to join its dynamic team in either Palo Alto or San Francisco. About the Role This position sits at the intersection of human resources and legal recruiting, supporting both lateral hiring and day-to-day HR operations. You’ll partner closely with attorneys, leadership, and candidates to deliver a seamless and high-touch experience.

What You’ll Do Coordinate and manage the full-cycle recruiting process for attorneys and professional staff Partner with hiring managers and practice groups to understand hiring needs Schedule interviews, manage candidate communications, and ensure a polished candidate experience Assist with onboarding and integration of new hires Support HR initiatives including employee relations, compliance, and performance processes Maintain recruiting data, reports, and applicant tracking systems Collaborate with leadership on recruiting strategies and pipeline development

What We’re Looking For 2–5+ years of experience in legal recruiting and/or HR, preferably within a law firm Strong understanding of law firm structure and legal hiring processes Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Professional, polished communication style with a high level of discretion Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment Bachelor’s degree preferred
