As a Protective Services Professional , your duties will include: Providing protection for high-profile locations , such as embassies and government facilities in the Washington, D.C. area. Traveling in support of diplomatic missions and other high-priority events. Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities under relevant laws and regulations. To be considered for this role, you must: Be a U.S. citizen . Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license . Meet age requirements (at least 20 and less than 37, or have previous federal law enforcement experience). Carry and use a firearm , maintaining proficiency is mandatory. Meet visual acuity requirements (uncorrected 20/100 binocular, corrected 20/20 or better in each eye). Pass hearing tests (whispered voice at 15 feet without aid). Pass a drug test prior to appointment and random testing while occupying the position. Certify registration with the Selective Service System or exemption if applicable.
