As a law enforcement officer, you'll play a critical role in safeguarding high-profile individuals and events, while also upholding the law and maintaining public safety. Key Responsibilities: Providing protection for high-profile individuals, including government officials and foreign dignitaries Traveling in support of Presidential, Vice Presidential, and international missions Enforcing protective responsibilities under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A Requirements To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following requirements: U.S. citizenship Current valid U.S. driver's license Age 20 or older (unless previously served in a Federal Civilian Law Enforcement position) Carry and use a firearm; maintain firearm proficiency Visual acuity: uncorrected 20/100 binocular; corrected 20/20 or better in each eye Hearing loss not exceeding 25 decibels in either ear Pass a drug test and undergo random testing while occupying the position Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at FLETC and 17 weeks of specialized training at James J. Rowley Training Center Certify registration with the Selective Service System (if applicable)
