Occupational Health Nurse Job Summary The Occupational Health Nurse works in conjunction with Human Resources to promote associate health and wellness within the facility. This role plays a significant part in the overall strategy of employee health initiatives, ensuring that the facility is compliant with State of Texas, DHH, ADA, and Joint Commission regulations. Key Responsibilities: Act as a team player, leading HR practices and objectives that provide a high-performance culture emphasizing empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards. Perform all duties while protecting the confidentiality of applicants, candidates, and associates, without soliciting or disclosing any confidential information unless necessary. Monitor and provide all employee health nursing services for the region. Ensure all associates meet requirements for the initial health assessment. Assist in the transition back to work of those who have been out due to health reasons. Serve as the manager of all medical issues related to Worker's Compensation. Oversee and assure compliance of the random drug screen program. Administer annual TB skin test and be responsible for annual TB mask fittings for associates. Responsible for overseeing the annual biometric screening program for Healthy Habits. Responsible for ensuring the facility is in compliance with DHH and Joint Commission policies as pertaining to Employee Health. Responsible for working with associates who need accommodations in compliance with ADA standards.
