Operational Execution of Quality, Risk & Compliance Initiatives
• Support the implementation of the organisation's Quality, Risk, and Compliance frameworks, ensuring adherence to standards, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct day-to-day activities such as audits, risk assessments, compliance reviews, and quality checks to ensure ongoing alignment with regulatory, contractual, and organisational requirements.
• Collaborate with business units to embed QRC principles into operational processes and ensure their consistent application across the organisation.
Quality Assurance Responsibilities
• Monitor the organisation's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring processes are aligned with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and client expectations.
• Develop and maintain documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process maps, and quality control checklists.
• Conduct quality audits and reviews, identifying areas for improvement and working with teams to address any gaps.
• Collect and analyse quality performance data, identifying trends and reporting findings to the QRC Director for strategic decision-making.
• Support the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring a focus on operational excellence and client satisfaction.
Risk Management Responsibilities
• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the organisation's Risk Management Framework.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and prioritise risks across business operations, projects, and programmes.
• Monitor risk mitigation plans, ensuring that agreed actions are completed within defined timelines.
• Maintain and update the organisation's risk register, highlighting any changes in risk status and escalating critical risks to the QRC Director.
• Provide input into business continuity planning (BCP) and disaster recovery strategies, ensuring operational resilience.
Compliance Monitoring and Support
• Ensure the organisation's operations comply with relevant legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations (e.g., GDPR, ISO standards, FCA regulations, health & safety requirements).
• Conduct compliance audits and reviews, identifying potential breaches and recommending corrective actions.
• Monitor regulatory developments and emerging requirements, ensuring internal policies and procedures are updated as needed.
• Support the preparation of documentation and evidence for external audits or inspections by regulators, clients, or certification bodies.
Reporting and Documentation
• Prepare regular reports on quality, risk, and compliance metrics, providing clear insights into performance, trends, and areas requiring attention.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of QRC activities, including audit findings, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.
• Assist the QRC Director in preparing reports and presentations for senior leadership, clients, and external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
Technical Expertise
• Quality Management Knowledge: Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and frameworks, such as ISO 9001 or similar standards, to ensure quality processes are consistently applied.
• Risk Management Skills: Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies (e.g., risk registers, control frameworks), risk mitigation strategies, and business continuity planning.
• Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge: In-depth understanding of legal, regulatory, and industry standards relevant to the organisation, such as GDPR, FCA regulations, ISO standards, or health & safety requirements.
• Audit and Investigation Skills: Capability to conduct internal audits, compliance reviews, and root cause investigations, ensuring adherence to policies and identifying areas for improvement.
