The ideal candidate will have experience in culinary management, a proven track record of menu development and costing, strong knowledge of food safety standards, and excellent leadership and organizational skills. Proficiency in kitchen management software and inventory control systems is preferred. The role also requires strong culinary skills across various cuisines and familiarity with current food trends.
*Responsibilities*
* Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient operations and high-quality food production. * Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences. * Oversee food preparation processes to maintain consistency, quality, and presentation standards. * Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper storage of ingredients. * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment. * Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to foster a positive work culture and enhance their skills. * Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. * Plan and execute catering events, including menu creation and coordination of logistics.
*Skills*
* Proven experience in a Head Chef or similar leadership role within the fine dining, catering or restaurant sectors. * Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen management, and banquet service. * Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team. * Creative flair for menu development and presentation with attention to detail. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. * Effective communication skills to liaise with both kitchen staff and front-of-house teams. * Passion for culinary arts with a commitment to maintaining high standards in food quality.
