The Retail Trainer & Visual Merchandiser is responsible for merchandising retail products in four stores within Mount Rainier National Park. Key duties include training retail managers and staff on the use of Counterpoint POS, product identification, shop cleanliness, and hospitality standards. The role also involves maintaining stock levels, creating appealing displays, and ensuring signage and inventory accuracy. The position reports to the Retail Operations Manager. Essential Functions Train staff on POS systems and customer service standards. Create engaging retail displays to attract visitors. Maintain display integrity and update setups regularly. Ensure proper signage is in place. Coordinate with vendors and assist in warehouse operations. Participate in store setup, inventory, and cycle counts. Analyze inventory levels and adjust as needed. Conduct staff training and communicate with management on operational needs. Skills and Knowledge High school diploma; some college preferred. At least two years of retail experience, especially with Point-of-Sale systems like CounterPoint. Proficiency in MS Office applications. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with high attention to detail. Physical and Mental Requirements Ability to read and write in English. Clear speech and comprehension skills. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs regularly and 40 lbs occasionally. Occasional bending, kneeling, or crouching.
