The General Liability Litigated Claims department is comprised of a team of General Liability Supervisors, Senior Consultants, Consultants and Litigated Claims Clerical Support who handle attorney-represented litigated and non-litigated claims. The General Liability Litigated Claims Manager will manage, lead, assess, and improve the general liability and fleet claim processes for litigated and higher exposure non-litigated claims; manage the performance and results of supervisors and individual claims handling teams, including the respective Senior Consultants and Consultants. The manager will oversee and manage expenditures for all litigated and higher value non-litigated attorney-represented general liability and fleet claims; and manage and improve all work processes in these areas.
Hybrid work environment: many of Publix’s corporate offices offer work from home up to two days a week.

As the General Liability Litigated Claims Manager, you will: manage a team of litigated supervisors, managing the day-to-day operations and financial performance for attorney-represented claims (litigated and some higher value non-litigated). evaluate and approve attorney represented claim and litigated case settlements above the litigated claims supervisors’ level of authority. ensure reserving process is completed timely and accurately to reserve files according to probable outcome. develop, implement, and maintain standardized claims handling protocols, quality assurance criteria, and KPIs which reflect associate and unit performance and monitoring performance against established criteria and KPIs. ensure the General Liability Litigated unit is aligned with the corporate strategy. attend mediations or trials on an intermittent basis to monitor and analyze the performance and effectiveness of associates and outside counsel.
