About the Role

The Company is dedicated to enhancing human lives through neuroscience research and technology, and is in search of a General Counsel to lead its legal functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of legal matters, including corporate legal affairs, IP strategy, compliance, and risk management. This pivotal role demands a seasoned professional with over 10 years' experience in legal roles, a strong background in corporate law, IP management, compliance, and risk management, and a proven track record in leading legal teams, particularly within regulated industries. The General Counsel will also be tasked with managing external counsel, ensuring effective communication, and fostering a high-performance culture within the legal department.

Key responsibilities for the General Counsel at the company include maintaining corporate records, drafting and negotiating various legal documents, providing legal advice on a global scale, and developing and implementing the company's IP strategy. The role also involves designing and overseeing a comprehensive compliance program, managing legal risks, and leading crisis and litigation management. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of industry-specific compliance requirements, be adept at crisis management, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Additionally, the General Counsel will be expected to build and manage a team of legal professionals, interact with external advisors, and ensure the company's legal practices align with the highest standards of the industry.
