The General Counsel will also be responsible for ensuring the organization's policies and procedures align with legal standards, particularly in the areas of patient privacy and security of health information.
Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company must have a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school, be an active member of the North Carolina state Bar, and have a minimum of 12 years of legal experience, with at least 10 years in a management capacity. The role requires a candidate with excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, a proven track record in handling complex legal issues, and a strong ethical standard.
