The Forensic and Litigation Associates work as a member of the Client Services group and can expect a diverse experience ranging from accounting procedures for litigation engagements to the performance of business appraisal and valuation services. This position performs many duties of an advance level forensic accountant including working directly for corporate clients, under the supervision of upper level management. Essential Functions and Primary Duties Performance of preliminary valuation, forensic, and appraisal analyses, including development of comparative adjusted financial statements and data input for expert witness exhibits Litigation Seniors contribute to activities at the senior level including interfacing with associates for project management, time management, and general supervision and guidance Knowledgeable of the relevant statutory and family codes and their applicability to accounting principles in performance of forensic accounting Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in the digital assets ecosystem, including but not limited to: oRegulatory guidance and IRS provisions related to cryptocurrency and blockchain-based assets oTrends in economic adoption and integration of digital assets in the U.S. and global markets oAccounting, tax, and legal considerations relevant to the treatment of digital assets in litigation and financial disputes oApply current developments to forensic analyses, valuation, and investigative work in high-net-worth divorce and civil litigation matters Participate in client assignments from beginning to end Create forensic and financial models for presentation Identify and communicate case issues, findings, and improvement opportunities with managers and partners to resolve client issues discovered during engagements. Work with a discovery team to inventory and reconcile documents and data produced in preparation for submission to courts, attorneys and clients Assist in preparation of exhibits and background information for expert witness testimony Maintain and comply with highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality and personal conduct. Participate in training and developing staff and building a team-centered client service team Monitor client issues related to compliance services Monitor engagement status and profitability Attend to clients expectations Preferred Qualifications Masters degree 1 year of supervisory experience CPA candidate CFE candidate Family law, forensic accounting experience Damages calculations experience Accounting for digital assets experience Certification/specialized training in cryptocurrency investigations and valuation of digital assets Minimum Qualifications Required Bachelors degree required 3 years of experience in public accounting or related field Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally Thorough understanding of blockchain-based assets (e.g. Ethereum, Bitcoin, XRP, Solana, Polygon, and Avalanche) including proficiency with layer-2 networks and smart contract protocols. High proficiency in the use of Proficient use of applicable technology (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Docuware, Blockchain Analytics Software) The annual salary target for this job in this market is $85, - $95,. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
