As a substitute paraprofessional, you will play a crucial role in assisting classroom teachers to provide essential support to students, especially those with special needs. Your involvement will promote academic and personal growth in the classroom environment. Commonly referred to as school aides, teacher assistants, instructional aides, one-to-one aides, and personal care assistants, substitute paraprofessionals perform a variety of responsible tasks that enhance the learning experience. Responsibilities: Provide instructional reinforcement to individual students or small groups. Support the classroom teacher with effective management and supervision of students. Assist with administrative tasks, including setting up equipment and preparing materials for lessons. Supervise students during meals, in the schoolyard, in hallways, on field trips, and during before/after school programs. Attend to students’ physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs. Support students with special needs by implementing provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans. Perform additional tasks as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing). Pay: $13-$22/hr
