Work Location: Corporate Headquarters – Pewaukee Division: Fire Protection (Full Time, Exempt) Under the direction of the Division Manager, the Fire Protection Estimator is responsible for analyzing blueprints and other documentation to prepare cost, material, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma/GED, college degree preferred Years of Relevant Work Experience: 1+ years estimating experience Certificates/Licenses: Driver’s License Physical Job Requirements: Move throughout office, construction site, and general outdoor environments Key Activities Understand Project. Review project documentation and discuss with salesperson. Prepare Estimate. Utilize estimating software to detail cost estimates, obtain bids from vendors/subcontractors, and achieve customer/Company expectations. Turnovers. Prepare project documentation, participate in meetings, and assist in preparation of project drawings. Maintain/Enhance Estimating System and Procedures. Perform periodic reviews of actual vs estimated costs and adjust estimating system to improve accuracy. Bid Tracer. Enter bid requests and communication bid participation to customers. T ake Offs. Assist Project Managers in forecasting cost at completion.
