Opportunity Overview:
Astound is currently seeking a Financial Analyst (I or II), depending on qualifications, to join our team! You will support key financial processes, including data analysis, monthly reporting, forecasting, and budget planning. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented and capable of maintaining and enhancing financial systems, reports, and planning templates. The analyst will ensure consistency and accuracy across models while collaborating within a dynamic finance team, performing structured analysis to identify key trends, and provide insights that support decision-making.
A Day in the Life of the Financial Analyst (I or II):
Financial Analyst I
Manage financial data processes, ensuring accurate integration, reconciliation, and consistency across reporting and forecasting models
Maintain and distribute monthly reporting packages
Reconcile report outputs for executive review
Support the monthly financial close, forecasting, and annual budgeting process
Interact with all process stakeholders to track timeline adherence
Coordinate with the Director of Finance to implement automation procedures and enhance accuracy of reports
Assist in preparing board decks and supporting analysis for CFO, Monthly P&L and other presentations as needed
Other duties as assigned
Financial Analyst II
Manage financial data processes, ensuring accurate integration, reconciliation, and consistency across reporting and forecasting models

Support the monthly financial close, forecasting, and annual budgeting process
Interact with all process stakeholders to track timeline adherence
Coordinate with the Director of Finance to implement automation procedures and enhance accuracy of reports
Assist in preparing board decks and supporting analysis for CFO, Monthly P&L and other presentations as needed
Perform analysis and forecasting of relevant data points determining appropriate drivers such as trends, relationships with KPIs, history, and specific items and communicate effectively with relevant individuals to obtain necessary information and relay conclusions
Other duties as assigned
What You Bring to the Table:
Financial Analyst I
0+ years of experience in a financial or accounting related role, in school-related projects or post-college work
Strong Excel skills
Experience with Hyperion, Planful, and Essbase is a plus
Excellent Time Management and Communication Skills
Ability to identify connections between variables, anticipate downstream effects, and ensure comprehensive updates across related areas
Demonstrated commitment of attention to critical details
Knowledge of fundamental accounting or financial key concepts
Strong Software & Computer Skills
Financial Analyst II
2+ years of post-college experience in a financial or accounting related role
Highly proficient in Excel
Experience with Hyperion, Planful, and Essbase is a plus
Ability to take a task and run with it independently
Ability to perform analysis and forecasting independently
Ability to identify financial trends and relationships
Excellent Time Management and Communication Skills
Strong and proven ability to identify connections between variables, anticipate downstream effects, and ensure comprehensive updates across related areas
Demonstrated commitment of attention to critical details
Knowledge of fundamental accounting or financial key concepts
Strong Software & Computer Skills
Education for both Financial Analyst I or II:
BS or BA required, Finance or Accounting degree preferred

Base Salary: The base salary range for this position is $65,000- $90,000 (annually), plus opportunities for bonus and benefits, if applicable. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
