*Summary:*

UTPVision USA is looking for a Field Service Technician to provide technical service and support at our customers' facilities for our automated optical inspection (AOI) systems. This position requires a solutions-driven individual with great attention to detail, capable of working independently and traveling to customer sites up to 70% of the time.

*Responsibilities:*

* Complete 4-6 weeks of initial training, as well as potential periodic retraining, in Italy * Install, configure, and calibrate new AOI machines, equipment, and upgrades at customer sites * Perform mechanical, electrical, electronic, and air pneumatic troubleshooting and integration * Perform timely repairs of AOI systems at customer sites * Train clients for successful operation and maintenance of AOI systems * Prepare concise, accurate, and timely reports following client visits * Periodically inspect customer spare parts inventory and recommend additional parts orders as needed * Perform remote support to clients from the UTPVision USA office in Boston * Occasionally travel internationally to serve global clients

*Qualifications:*

* 2+years experience operating machine vision equipment, vision inspection equipment, industrial automation equipment, and/or robotics * Experience performing preventative maintenance on machinery and systems * Ability to read blueprints, specifically electrical and mechanical technical drawings * Familiarity with the metric system * Experience using precision tools * Strong interpersonal and customer service skills * High flexibility and ability to travel up to 70% of the time. * Valid driver license and good driving record * Ability to occasionally lift 50 lbs, or 20 lbs with little to no effort, and ability to physically maneuver in and around UTPVision machines

*Preferred Qualifications:*

* Familiarity with Linux and/or networking * Licensed and trained to use a forklift, or willing to gain certification
