Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heavy industrial equipment, including hydraulic systems, electrical components, and engines. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of hands-on experience troubleshooting heavy equipment and be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues on heavy equipment.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions independently.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and service reports.
Travel locally with a company-provided service vehicle.
Operate independently in the field and in-shop settings.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding equipment status and repair needs.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in troubleshooting heavy equipment, including hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Ability to recalibrate sensors and troubleshoot pumps, valves, and motors.
Strong communication skills and empathy to interact effectively with customers.
Situational problem-solving skills to work independently and ensure project continuity.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Technical certifications in diesel engines are preferred.
Experience with rebuilding engines and working on aerial equipment, scissor lifts, forklift booms, and dirt equipment.
Experience with troubleshooting software and equipment overrides.

Work Environment
This is a full-time, first-shift position with hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Technicians work around heavy equipment in a fast-paced, hands-on setting. The role involves 90% travel within Macomb County, St. Clair, Lapeer, and East Oakland County. A work truck is provided and can be taken home, with compensation for travel to and from the site. Training will be conducted in the shop with a senior technician for the first 90-180 days, followed by hands-on field training.
