JOB SUMMARY
The Field Service Manager is responsible for providing on-site technical support at the Boeing Final Assembly Line (FAL) for Elevate Aircraft Seating. This role serves as the primary point of contact for The Boeing Company and airline customers during aircraft production, addressing installation issues, damaged parts, rework requirements, cosmetic defects, and customer relations concerns. The position requires strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions and adapt quickly to challenges. The Field Service Manager reports directly to the Product Support Manager.

Lead a mission-critical field service team at a global aviation company, ensuring all objectives are met with precision.
Direct a cross-functional team of Field Service Technicians and contractors to maintain Elevate aircraft seating and Boeing Encore–owned products on time.
Act as the primary liaison for internal and external customers, resolving issues promptly and cultivating long-term relationships.
Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for the Boeing Charleston facility, while providing support to the Airbus Mobile, Alabama facility as needed.
Oversee rework operations across receiving, BFE, factory, and flight line areas to ensure adherence to Elevate Aircraft Seating drawings and rework instructions.
Enhance organizational expertise in aircraft seating by tackling both hands-on operational challenges and broader managerial responsibilities.
Ensure team performance aligns with critical Service Level Agreements (SLAs), keeping aviation operations active and uninterrupted.
Implement and oversee operational efficiency initiatives, including technology upgrades and company-wide programs.
Manage the unit’s budget, staffing, and inventory to maintain accurate work and billing records.
Plan for anticipated workload spikes, adjusting resources with additional support from the home base as required.
Forecast part requirements and manage minimum stock levels to align with historical usage and anticipated needs.
Position the team for future growth by driving customer expansion, strengthening regional operations, and developing leadership skills within the group.
Rework and stamp pickups for all seat classes requested by Boeing and airline customers during aircraft builds.
Assist Boeing seat installation teams, ensuring high-quality workmanship at all times.
Handle moderately complex issues independently and escalate highly complex issues to the Product Support Manager.
Respond promptly to all communication and maintain strong rapport with Boeing personnel and customers.
Follow Elevate Aircraft Seating and Boeing safety guidelines, training requirements, and flight line processes.
Submit part order requests and manage the POA/SOA process at Boeing and Elevate Aircraft Seating.
Escort Elevate Aircraft Seating guests and technicians safely throughout Boeing facilities.
Attend Boeing’s daily stand-up/tie-in meetings to ensure alignment with production schedules.
Coordinate daily with QA, engineers, the Product Support Manager, technicians, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Maintain a safe, secure and legal work environment, adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
Maintain and protect the confidentiality of the Company’s information and products
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Associate degree in a related technical field preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of Aircraft Service experience related to troubleshooting and repairs on Aircraft interiors required.
Skills:
Knowledge of passenger seating product preferred.
Basic knowledge of CMM's, drawings and other important technical documents.
Mechanical ability with hand and power tools.
Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with MS office applications.
Proficient using smart phones / tablets to send emails, pictures and other applications.
Ability to work efficiently in stressful situations.
Follow instructions and complete jobs in a timely manner.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, verbally and written
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Microsoft Office proficiency (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, Excel)
Other:
Must have the availability to work various hours, after hours and weekend as needed.
Must have ability to maintain multiple tasks simultaneously, including the ability to manage assignments from more than one customer during any given day.
Willing to travel to other Boeing FALs in other states and other international Elevate Aircraft seating sites.
Valid driver's license, clean driving record and the ability to obtain a passport.
Maintain the ability to use the company credit card and follow all applicable rules of the use of the company credit card.
SUPERVISION PROVIDED TO THE POSITION
This position reports to the Product Support Manager.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Elevate Aircraft Seating offers competitive wages and benefits to recognize employees for their work. The base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.
Salary Range Transparency: $114,000 - $152,500 annually
