A State Hospital is seeking a Family Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage. The facility is located near Morristown, New Jersey. This is a MondayFriday, 8am5pm position for an MD only, due to state guidelines. There is no call required, and while the provider is responsible for approximately 45 mental health patients across two units, they are not expected to see all patients daily. Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family or Internal Medicine with an active New Jersey license. The facility uses paper charts and is supported by a full mental health team, including psychiatrists, internists, nurses, and techs. Credentialing takes about 3 weeks. The ideal candidate is compassionate and comfortable working with involuntarily committed mental health patients.
