Experienced Apprentice Plumber

Purpose:
As an apprentice plumber, you'll contribute directly to the success of our plumbing projects. Working closely under the supervision of journeyman plumbers, you'll gain hands-on experience in installing, modifying, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems for gas, water, and drainage in compliance with current building codes. This work may involve both single-family residences and multifamily housing. Your apprenticeship's end goal is to obtain your journeyman license, enabling you to guide and mentor new apprentices entering the trade.

Responsibilities:

  • Acquire skills to inspect, install, modify, repair, and maintain plumbing components in water, gas, and drainage systems following applicable building codes

  • Develop the ability to read and interpret blueprints

  • Accurately complete quality assurance checklists

  • Oversee several projects at once

  • Attend apprentice training one evening each week until a journeyman license is achieved (Arkansas team members are required to attend our in-house Plumbing Apprenticeship program)

  • Coordinate and manage subcontractor work on-site

  • Plan and update project schedules to ensure timely completion

  • Receive instruction from supervisors and apply lessons in the field

  • Participate in all stages of plumbing work, from initial setup to final completion

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on motivating team members

  • Consistent production of high-quality work

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with builders, general contractors, and project managers

  • Familiarity with standard plumbing concepts, techniques, and procedures

  • Ability to follow instructions precisely

  • High school diploma or equivalent education

  • Possession of a valid driver's license

  • Dependable work ethic and commitment to excellence

  • Availability to work Monday–Friday from 6 AM to 5 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts
