Do you want to be part of the crew that transforms an arena from an ice rink to a concert venue to a massive dirt-filled track for high-octane motorsports sometimes all in the same week? The Classic Center is looking for hardworking, flexible, and detail-oriented Event Technicians to help make the magic happen behind the scenes. In this role, youll be part of the team that handles event setups, conversions, and day-of-show support to keep everything running smoothly.
What to Expect:
Part-time role averaging 1632 hours per week, heavily dependent on event load.
Most shifts will be overnight or afternoonevening on event days.
Occasional daytime conversions throughout the season.
Primary focus: executing arena conversions and setting up for events.
Fast-paced, physical work where no two days are the same.
What Youll Do:
Work with your team often in evening and overnight hours to convert the arena between events.
Set up events based on diagrams and manager's instructions.
Deploy and retract telescopic seating.
Install and remove hockey glass, dasher boards, and ice covers.
Assist with staging, chair sets, furniture movement, and special layouts.
Support Event Services with day-of-event needs.
Keep tools and equipment organized and stored properly.
Operate machinery such as forklifts, man lifts, scissor lifts, and pallet jacks.
Maintain safety and efficiency in all operations.
What Were Looking For:
One year in a similar role (arena, stadium, convention center, or theater) preferred.
Flexible availability including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Reliable transportation.
Able to lift 2550 lbs regularly, walk extensively, and bend/squat/kneel during shifts.
Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license and valid state drivers license.
Team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
