Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with project managers to gather data needed for precise estimates.
Analyze project specifications and requirements to create detailed cost estimates.
Utilize HeavyBid software (or similar) to prepare comprehensive bids and estimates.
Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure budget compliance.
Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating favorable pricing and terms.
Conduct site visits to gather data and evaluate site conditions for estimating purposes.
Prepare and maintain clear, detailed reports outlining labor, materials, overhead, and other costs.
Support project management tasks to ensure timely completion of estimates and project milestones.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC estimating or a closely related field (required).
Proven experience in construction estimating or construction project coordination.
Strong understanding of construction management principles and cost control techniques.
Familiarity with HeavyBid estimating software or similar platforms is a plus.
Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain rapport with stakeholders.
Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail in pricing and contract evaluation.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness and ability to commute to or relocate to Chino, CA (required).
