Lotus Professional College is seeking a warm, professional, and polished Virginia-licensed Esthetician to join our dynamic team as an instructor! As one of our dedicated and knowledgeable Esthetics instructors, you will have a pivotal role in teaching Basic Esthetics students at Lotus Professional College and guiding them through theoretical and practical courses associated with fundamental techniques in skincare. The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to effectively explain concepts and techniques to students, with the ability to patiently provide support to students as they develop competencies in Esthetics modalities and techniques. As an instructor, your professionalism must be exemplary as you will serve as a model to students with your organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail. You must also be willing to commit to ongoing professional development that is sponsored by the College as well as independent continuing education, and you must also be willing to maintain your Esthetics License and Esthetics Instructor Certification. Qualifications: Must possess a current Esthetics License in the Commonwealth of Virginia, through the Commonwealth's Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR). Must possess a current Esthetics Instructor Certificate in the Commonwealth of Virginia, through the Commonwealth's Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR). Should have experience with Microsoft Office suite of products and experience with email and Internet communications. Must be able to prove a minimum 3 years of experience as a licensed esthetician. Proven teaching experience is preferred. Class Times: Full-time instructors are preferred. Lotus Professional College's Esthetics program maintains classes in the following time slots, of which close to 50% will be conducted remotely through Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams online videoconference. Please see below for class times. 9:00am-2:00pm 2:00pm-6:00pm 6:00pm-10:00pm
Responsibilities : Assuring the provision of high-quality discussions, learning, and communication Grading course materials such as quizzes, and tests Must be able to follow and comply with all state compliance laws/requirements i.e. HIPAA, Esthetics regulations, OSHA Prepare and present program material to meet program/course objectives i.e. PowerPoint slides and class assignments. Maintain accurate student attendance, assignments, and grades in the College's Learning Management System, STARS. Assuring the provision of high-quality discussions, learning, and communication. Grading course materials such as papers, quizzes, and tests. Assisting students with navigating in an online or in person environment. Benefits: Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
