As a substitute paraprofessional, you will assist classroom teachers by providing essential support to students with special needs, fostering their academic and personal growth. Your responsibilities will vary, from supplementing classroom curriculum to offering individualized assistance. Substitute paraprofessionals may also be referred to as school aides, teacher assistants, instructional aides, one-to-one aides, or personal care assistants. Key Responsibilities: Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students or small groups. Assist the teacher with classroom management and general supervision. Help with administrative duties, including setting up equipment and preparing materials. Supervise students in the cafeteria, schoolyard, specials, hallways, on field trips, and during before and after school programs. Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs. Support students with special needs by implementing IEPs/504 Plans. Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing). Pay: $13-$22/hr
