Position Summary: The Emergency Room (ER) is a 12-bed unit providing direct care to critically ill adult patients. As an RN, you will implement the nursing process in accordance with the relevant standards of practice and organizational policies, values, and mission. Demonstrates critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and the ability to operate with minimal supervision. Effectively manages stress and takes decisive action in high-pressure situations. Computer proficiency is required. Responsible for implementing care plans, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. Accurately documents patient care provided. Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions appropriately to the care team, physicians, patients, and their families. Assists patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, nutrition, and mobility. Collaborates across disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care and presents psycho-spiritual support as needed. Evaluates educational needs of patients and/or families, providing tailored education based on age, culture, and circumstances. Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients at all times.
