Description: Heidtman Steel Products is seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance of our equipment.
Key Responsibilities: Error Management: Identify and rectify potential errors in programming and wiring. Errors may be detected by operators or maintenance personnel, and could result in machine downtime, equipment damage, or lost production. Confidential Data Handling: Manage and protect confidential data, including PLC and HMI programs, to prevent competitors from copying our processes. Problem Solving: Address typical problems such as strap cutter blade cylinder malfunctions and obsolete electrical systems requiring replacement. Supervision: Work independently with minimal supervision, with approximately 5% of work reviewed by a supervisor. Stress Management: Handle high-pressure situations, such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or PLC breakdowns, which may occur during production or at inconvenient times. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with supervisors and other team members. Ability to manage confidential information with integrity.
