Are you looking for something new? Holland Applied Technologies is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team! The Electrical Engineer Electrical Engineer will research, design, develop and/or test electrical systems.
Holland Applied Technologies, located in Burr Ridge IL, is a leader in the sanitary process/equipment industry. We fabricate and distribute sanitary equipment and systems for the food, pharmaceutical, personal care, and beverage industries.
Job Responsibilities: Designs and develops electrical systems used in the automation of industrial tasks. Reads and interprets customer specifications Estimates material and labor costs Develops electrical system overview drawings Develops panel layout drawings Develops wiring schematics for 1 phase and 3 phase AC, and DC circuits Develops loop drawings and bus diagram drawings Develops pneumatic diagrams Size wiring, fuses, components, panels, etc. Completes panel heat calculations Creates detailed bill of materials Assists in conduit design, panel location, Obtains quotations and issue purchase orders for parts and services Provides direction during fabrication Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to apply electrical engineering theories, practices, and procedures to automate products and processes. Thorough knowledge of NEC, NFPA79, UL standards Knowledge of PLC programming would be a plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills and able to effectively work with individuals at all levels within the organization. Proficient in AutoCad Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. BS degree in Electrical Engineering 2+ years design experience
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
Pay & Benefits: The expected salary range for this role is $70,000-$90,000 annually. Please note salaries are based upon factors including candidate skills, experience and qualifications, education, certifications, as well as market and business considerations. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Other factors include the following benefits: Medical insurance is available for full time employees and their dependents through Blue Cross Blue Shield.
