Electrical Automation Technician

*Job Description*

This is a multifaceted position focused on installation and support of dairy farm automation equipment and PLC control systems.

Installation: Working with project planning team you will come up with installation plan that follows the functional requirements of the system, special requests from customer, and company quality and serviceability standards. Execute plan in a team setting or individually depending on project size and complexity. Gain understanding of system operation and component functions to enable future success in providing service and support on system.

Service: Provide ongoing service on dairy farm automation equipment according to required scheduled maintenance and on-call service for equipment failure.

Build: In accordance with TDLogix standards, industry standards, and according to engineering teams design, assemble PLC and motor control panels for customer projects.

Continued Growth: TDLogix puts a high priority in being experts in our field. On the job training is provided to assist in learning skills to be successful. We also participate in industry training courses on automation equipment, and dairy specific equipment that we sell and support.

*Responsibilities*

Manage own time in a productive manner. Report to customers and management on progress and needs for facilities. maintain a professional appearance, tidy work area, and clean company vehicle. Keep good service notes on timesheet. Assist in overall company success when and where needed.

*Qualifications (Pay depending on number of qualifications obtained) * * Proficient in electrical diagnosis. * Proficient in pneumatic diagnosis. * Capable of reading and understanding wiring diagrams. * Knowledgeable in setting up and troubleshooting VFD's * Knowledge of electrical components and installation methods * Knowledge of NEC * Keep workspace and vehicle clean to maintain safety and professionalism. * Time management skills * Hold a high standard for the quality and professionalism of their work * Not afraid of the business end of a shovel (literally and metaphorically) * Mechanically minded * Willingness to do overnight travel for installations, service, and training.

*Bonus skills:* * Bilingual (English/Spanish) * Welding and Fabrication Skills (Mild and S.S. MIG, TIG, Stick) * Experience in Dairy, Agriculture, or Food Processing * Degree in Electrical Automation, Mechatronics or related field * Licensed Refrigeration Tech * Licensed Electrician * PLC programming, installation or troubleshooting
