eCommerce Merchandising & Digital Content Specialist We are seeking a detail-oriented and digitally savvy eCommerce Merchandising & Digital Content Specialist to support our Laboratory Solutions business. This temporary role will focus on improving product discoverability, conversion, and content experience across Avantors digital platforms. Ideal candidates have experience in eCommerce merchandising, digital content optimization, and an understanding of how scientific buyers shop and search for lab supplies online. Responsibilities Enhance Product Detail Pages (PDPs): Improve content quality (titles, descriptions, imagery, attributes) for priority SKUs to support SEO, engagement, and conversion.
Optimize Category & Workflow Pages: Develop and refine landing pages for product categories and scientific workflows to improve navigation, educate customers, and drive product affinity.
Improve Site Taxonomy & Navigation: Refine category structures, filters, and product attributes to align with customer search behavior and purchasing workflows.
Execute Digital Merchandising Strategies: Support seasonal and category campaigns by managing site banners, product spotlights, and featured product carousels in alignment with business priorities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Portfolio Management, Strategic Marketing, eCommerce, and Downstream Marketing teams to ensure cohesive and relevant content across digital touchpoints.
Analyze & Report Performance: Monitor page-level performance metrics (CTR, bounce rate, conversion) and identify areas for ongoing optimization.
Support Content Upload & Governance: Maintain accuracy and consistency of product and category content using PIM and CMS tools.
Qualifications 24 years of experience in eCommerce merchandising or digital content management
BA/BS degrees in Marketing or Life Sciences with marketing experience
Experience in B2B eCommerce; familiarity with scientific, life science, or industrial product categories a plus
Proficient in product content optimization, taxonomy development, and digital asset management
Familiar with PIM, CMS, and basic SEO best practices; experience with analytics tools like Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics preferred
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage large product catalogs
Excellent collaboration and communication skills; comfortable working across multiple teams
